This policy is part of our Terms of service. It applies to everyone who uses Bulletproof Receptionist, including the free browser demo.
What it’s for
Bulletproof Receptionist is for answering your business’s incoming calls: answering questions about your business, taking messages, flagging urgent calls and booking appointments.
Allowed use
You may use the service to:
- answer calls to your business, day and night
- give callers accurate information about your own business
- take messages and booking requests from callers
- try the service in the free browser demo before choosing a plan
Not allowed
You may not use the service to:
- break any law, or help anyone else break one
- make outbound marketing or sales calls, or send unsolicited messages
- tell callers they are speaking with a person, or deny that it is AI when a caller asks
- give callers false or misleading information, or impersonate another person or business
- act as an emergency service, or as a replacement for one
- collect payment card numbers, government ID numbers, passwords, or health information covered by HIPAA or similar laws
- harass, threaten or discriminate against callers
- take more than one free demo for the same business, or create fake accounts
- probe, overload or break the service’s security, or try to copy or resell it
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy
Calling laws and consent
You are responsible for following the laws that apply to your calls. These can include laws on telling callers they are talking to AI, laws that require consent before a call is transcribed or recorded (some places require every party to agree), privacy laws such as the GDPR, and consumer protection laws. We recommend your greeting tells callers they are speaking with an AI receptionist and that the call is transcribed. Doing both helps you meet many of these laws.
Reporting misuse
If you believe someone is misusing the service, email [email protected] with as much detail as you can.
What we do about misuse
We may investigate and, depending on how serious it is, warn you, limit features, suspend your account or close it. Where the law requires, we may report illegal activity to the authorities.
